Marineil Barcena is an Influencer Liaison Executive at Terrier Agency. Her specialism is influencer marketing. She looks after the working relationship with creators across live campaigns.

Marineil covers the UK and Ireland. She works with creators in both markets and to the disclosure standards that apply to paid partnerships there.

Her client work includes Gymrace, Growers and Lemonade Dolls. Fitness, food and fashion each recruit from a different creator pool and each needs a different kind of content, so the outreach and the brief are built per campaign rather than copied across.

Her work covers creator outreach and onboarding, campaign communications, deliverable follow up and reporting support. She confirms what has been agreed with each creator, makes sure they have the brief, the product and the posting dates they need, and chases anything outstanding before it becomes a problem for the campaign timeline.

Most of that job is organisation. A campaign with 40 creators has 40 sets of dates, deliverables and approvals running at once, and keeping all of them straight is what stops a client’s launch week from falling apart. Marineil holds that detail.

She also helps maintain the creator relationships between campaigns, so that the good performers are still available the next time a brand needs them. A creator who was paid on time and briefed clearly will answer the next email. That is most of what a creator network actually is.

Marineil works across Terrier Agency and its sister company Bark Social.

Marineil graduated from the University of the Immaculate Conception with a BSc in Hotel, Restaurant and Management. She then worked as a Virtual Assistant, which is where the administrative discipline and multi-account organisation she brings to campaign coordination were built.

Terrier works on a rolling basis with no minimum term and 60 days’ notice at any point, so the campaigns Marineil supports are judged on their results.
