The Challenge
Venus AI is a beauty technology brand. A technology-led beauty product has to be explained before it can be sold. The brand needed creators willing to give the product enough screen time to show what it does, rather than a passing mention.
Our Approach
We selected a compact creator list and briefed for longer-form, explanatory content.
- Creators were chosen for their ability to carry an explanation rather than a product shot
- Audience fit was confirmed for every account before outreach
- Briefs allowed creators to frame the technology in their own terms
- Content was reviewed for accuracy and brand alignment before publication
Fewer, longer pieces suited a product that needs a moment of explanation to land.
The Results
25 pieces of content were published at a 3% engagement rate.
Content That Has Time to Explain
A technology product can’t be sold in a three-second clip if the audience doesn’t yet understand what it does. The explanation has to come before the pitch, not after it. Choosing a compact list of creators able to carry that explanation in their own words, rather than a wide list briefed for a quick product shot, meant fewer pieces of content but each one doing more work: giving the audience the context to understand the technology before being asked to consider it. Reviewing each piece for accuracy before publication, on top of the usual brand-fit check, matters more for a technology claim than for most product categories, since a misdescribed feature is harder to walk back than a missed brand cue.
What a 3% Engagement Rate on Explanatory Content Shows
25 pieces of content at a 3% engagement rate is a comprehension figure as much as an attention one, people engaging with longer, explanatory content rather than scrolling past it suggests the format matched what the product needed rather than what performs well generically. That’s a smaller, more deliberate reach than a high-volume campaign would produce, and it’s the trade-off the page’s own approach section describes: fewer, longer pieces for a product that needs a moment to land.
